About Dr. Jeffrey Takahashi

Dr. Takahashi serves as the medical director at the Middletown Vein and Aesthetic Center.  He attended Georgetown University Medical School, Washington, D.C.  He completed his Internal Medicine internship and Radiology residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, MA.  He then went on to complete a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1995.   He has since been on staff at Middlesex Hospital where he serves as the Chief of Interventional Radiology.    He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR), the American Board of Medical Specialities (ABMS), and has attained certification as a diplomat by the American Board of Phlelbology (ABP).  He is also certified as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) by the American Registry of Diagnositic Medical Sonography.

Dr. Takahashi has been recognized as a "Top Doc" by Connecticut magazine in 2010, 2011, and 2012.

Dr. Takahashi has been treating venous and arterial disorders for over 20 years.  He is experienced with all facets of the latest vein disorder treatments whether it involves the largest of varicose veins or the smallest of spider veins.


About Dr. Bruce Kovalenko

Bruce Kovalenko, M.D., is a Vascular & Interventional Radiologist. He earned his medical degree at New York University, and then did his Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Bridgeport Hospital, part of the Yale University Program. He then completed his Vascular & Interventional Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kovalenko is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Society of Interventional Radiology and the American Medical Association. His specific interests include: oncologic intervention including chemo and radio embolization, as well as percutaneous ablation of primary and metastatic tumors. He specializes in the following areas: uterine artery embolization for treatment of uterine fibroid disease. peripheral arterial disease. permanent and temporary dialysis access. treatment of peripheral and pulmonary arteriovenous malformation. venous access procedures.
